Dub Visuals

"Dub" literally means to copy or transfer to a new recording medium (it came from a shortening of "double"). Eventually it came to mean altered versions of songs that appeared on the B-sides of 45-rpm records. The original is remixed with fewer vocals and new bass lines. Then spacey effects are added, including moving filters, echo, time distortion, and repetition.

I have applied this concept to the translation of classic still images to video form. I call the result "dub visuals".

These animations set to music as well as the best of the electric sheep available on SPOTWORKS.
