Kandid supports Flame

The new version of Kandid (0.3.0) supports fractal flames. Since it's written in Java, it just calls out to executables compiled from my sources. I like the approach of combining disparate algorithms under one roof. Thank you Thomas Jourdan. Posted by spot at April 15, 2004 06:42 PM

I've been playing around with Kandid and it is very cool, but I don't know how to get Flame installed on OS X so that Kandid will see it. I have Electric Sheep installed, so flame should be available. What do I do now? Posted by: simon at April 17, 2004 04:34 PM
Well, i would guess kandid uses the hqi and pick programs from the flame package, but the electric sheep client only uses anim, so i don't think that's going to help you. i think you have to compile flame from source, which means you have to download the compiler from apple. oh well, i'm sorry.
