Sheep on CBS's new show "Threshold"

Electric Sheep is being featured on the new CBS TV Show Threshold. The text on their web site on the lower right says:
Fractal Screensaver

Take part in the elaborate creation of a communal computer-generated fractal screensaver. Download it and receive alien visions.

<rant> The show looks cool and the crop-circle logo is intriguing but I have no idea what this show is about. I tried to watch the trailer and failed. I even tried with Internet Explorer on a fucking Windows XP computer with Real Player open and on the desktop. I just got some error. Is this the best corporate American can do in 2005? Hey guys, please just put a mpeg4 file on your website. Mencoder works great and is free. <rant/>

Ok politics aside, I am completely pleased to be on the show. Thank you. Posted by spot at September 12, 2005 10:42 PM

So, they didn't ask you about this before posting it on their website? I mean, theoretically, your servers could get completely overwhelmed, and the sheep download problem could get worse...still, it's interesting to see on such a high-profile website. Are elements of the screensaver/animations incorporated into the show at all? Would be pretty slick. Posted by: Erik Reckase at September 13, 2005 07:55 AM
no they did ask and they are very nice. we have been slammed & overloaded before. it passes... i'm just complaining about website's reliance on RealPlayer and how in 2005 CBS can't deliver a trailer to my desktop. Posted by: spot at September 13, 2005 02:29 PM
