Electric Sheep Seeks Interns
update 12/6/2007: we have enough now, thanks for applying!
Electricsheep.org seeks programmers and web developers for internships
starting ASAP. A new version of the evolving distributed screen-saver
is approaching, and the time is now to make a difference. Get paid to
do open source, part time! After two weeks of 8 hours each at
$20/hour and a warm-up project, we'll negotiate hours and rates for
the main course. We are looking for people skilled with DHTML, Drupal/php, Mac OS X Objective-C programming, and Windows
C++. Especially exciting are candidates ready to jump into Android, OLPC, Laszlo, pd, Miro, or GPGPU. Or you tell me what you always wished
the sheep could do and we'll make it happen. Location: NYC
and online. Please submit your resume in text or PDF by email to the address on the bottom of my homepage. Thanks!

I have been using electricsheep for about a year now. I have no money to donate, but I wish to let you know how much pleasure and soothing comfort your creation has brought to me. Few things in this world bring joy to me anymore, and I find it somewhat surprising that something as simple as a screensaver has. Thank you for your creation from the bottom of my heart. And when there comes a time when I am able to donate to you, rest assured I will do so with pleasure.
I think this is such and awesome program. I would love to get involved in the development; however, I lack the programming knowledge...
I think the next best step would be to make it so that it reacts to music.. :)
I love electric sheep, especially when I'm "doing my homework" and instead staring at it going "oooh pretty! *up arrow*". However, I think there should be an option within the screensaver to make it so that it doesn't show sheep that you've marked as "really dislike" or have down-arrowed more than once. Every once in a while I find that some of them are ugly :/ In the past I've had to figure out which sheep it was and go manually delete it, but it'd be nice if the screensaver did that for you. And I wish I had the web proficiency to apply for that internship :)
i love this program i have three kids so it's nice to sit back an just stare at the screen after the two oldest go to bed!!on the other upside when my 6 month old gets cranky all i have to do is sit her in front of the computer an let her be amazed!!!!thanks for the help lol!!!
