From: "Moksha R." <moki@yahoo>
Subject: sheep 8915 inlove
To: chat@electricsheep

help!
can anyone help me??????, I fell in love with this sheep and now it is dead. I just got electric sheep and I did not know that my computer would delete my sheeps so fast....If anyone still has sheep 8915 or any of it's relations...PLEASE tell me. I would be so pleased to see this sheep again...
moksha Rainbowlight

The sheep in question was designed by KitChaos one of the top genetic designers. An hour later Dave Dodge replied with a link to the missing sheep and some relatives.

Large prints at iDrops

A large back-lit print of my artwork will be part of the gallery at iDrops this weekend in LA. Though I will not be there in person the VJ lineup for this event is stunning. Highly recommended.

Generation 165 at PlanetWorks in NYC Tonight

I am in New York City this week and I have made last minute arrangements with the PlanetWork Forum for an informal showing of my latest work: a new physical manifestation of the Electric Sheep. This device contains a 75 gigabyte database of sheep that would have taken a single computer more than 20 years to render. If played back end-to-end without any sequencing or continuity it would take 25 hours total, but with the playback engine recombining the sheep the result is an effectively infinite fountain. The device is nearly silent, and in a quiet, dark room the result is uncanny. It's called it "Generation 165", and we would be honored by your attention tonight at Location1 (26 Greene St in SOHO).

7-7:30pm: networking & light refreshments*
7:30 - 8:30/9pm: presentations
8:30/9pm - 9:30pm: networking and light refreshments
* a $10 donation to cover costs is appreciated.

Pack of Sheep by Torrent

Because the bandwidth problems have become so severe and there seem to be a lot of new users I decided to make a starter pack of sheep available via BitTorrent. Click here and after it downloads copy the sheep (the MPG files) to your cache directory. On Windows by default that is C:\WINDOWS\System32\electricsheep-cache\mpeg. There are 22 sheep in the pack totalling 100MB.

Sheep on TV and MetaFilter

Electric Sheep has received a batch of new press. First it was mentioned on Tech TV as Sarah’s Damn Good Download. That led (I assume) to being posted on MetaFilter, which was then picked up by Blogoscope and others.

Too bad it's hardly working now...
