The History of Software and Internet Art

The AudioVisual Academy's lesson on History of Software and Internet Art includes me and the Electric Sheep. It starts with Nam June Paik, Fluxus, and leads to Marius Watz, John Maeda, Casey Reas and Ben Fry, Ubermorgen, and Vuk Ćosić. What an honor to be in such good company, thank you! It was written by Professor Blanca Regina Perez-Bustamante.

The segment on me starts at 6:20 in. Alas their site requires free registration but they haven't spammed me yet, so I think it's safe.

EvoMusArt

EvoMusArt is the premier academic conference devoted to Evolutionary techniques in Music and Art. This is its 9th year and I am honored to be a member of the jury. If you participate in this field, please consider publication in this venue. The deadline is November 22nd.

I have found the process of writing up my research in this field to be so rewarding. The process of writing down your ideas and developing the bibliography is extremely educational: You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother. - Albert Einstein
